Maintaining the cleanliness OF your home in-between cleans

​   Maintaining the cleanliness of your home in between scheduled cleans is the best way to ensure your home stays clean and tidy. There are many ways to do this that are not extremely time-consuming. Unfortunately, not everyone can pay for a house cleaning every day. But if your household is anything like mine, it requires some type of cleaning each day.  One thing I have learned is that keeping the floors clean is one of the best ways to help keep dust and debris away. What we bring inside from the outside along with dust itself collecting in the home, is stirred up from the floor, and it lands on furniture, baseboards, cabinets, etc. Which is always an indicator that it is time for a deep clean. We can maintain the cleanliness of our homes by doing a few things each day.
   I invested in two robot vacs and one of them is also a mop vac. I use them almost every day. Another thing I invested in for my floors is a cross wave. I use this floor cleaning tool to prevent the grout in my tile from turning black.  Changing your mop water often while mopping is a way to prevent this from happening as well, but depending on how dirty your floors can get, makes this very time-consuming. You must sweep/vacuum the floor thoroughly and mop afterward. The cross-wave tool vacuums and mops at the same time which saves a lot of time. These floor cleaning tools are maintenance tools. They are not meant for homes that have not had a cleaning in a while. They can be damaged if not taken care of. I have had my cross-wave, robot vac/mop for 3-7 years and they still work great. I bought the additional robot vacuum/mop once my family moved into a larger home. 
  Of course, wiping down our countertops when needed and keeping up with dishes, laundry, and clutter should be done in between paid cleanings. I use a multi-surface cleaning product for my countertops and cleaning wipes as well when needed. My kitchen counters, stovetop, and sink need to be wiped down every day (busy kitchen), depending on the use in certain areas of your home will determine the attention needed to keep clean as well. My favorite part about cleaning services is the things I do not have to do and leaves me with more time to do the things that do have to be done without being overwhelmed. My bathrooms, dusting, bed linens being changed, ceiling fans, blinds, baseboards, spot cleaning on my cabinets, etc, are always maintained because of recurring services. Depending on the amount of people in your home, pets, and traffic in and out will determine the recurring option that will better serve your cleanliness needs.
